Magical Scandinavian designed sod roofed post and beam hut woven into the natural setting with 900' along the CT River. Environmentally sensitive in commune with nature, it resembles something out of a fantasy book! This site with all appurtenances can be likened to an outpost/respite/getaway/retreat OR it could be used as a great seasonal hunting or fishing cabin. Artistically created, crafted and constructed by the current owner as a place for work projects or a field office for aquatic surveying, the hand hewn cedar & hickory comprised interior is truly a marvel. 60 cedar trees were used to build the hut. Located in the flood plain, no one can ever permanently reside or live there year round (as it is not suitable or permitted ...) nor can you build or add on to the existing structure. There is a portable generator for electric and 2 small propane tanks for cooking. This 6+ acres is all accented by 3 man made ponds and a gravel boat launch - all abutting the Nature Conservancy and the CT River. An A-2 survey defines the boundaries and markers. A very special place .... a niche of paradise!
